Your baby’s first Halloween is so exciting and fun! So imagine how excited I was to partner up with Babies “R” Us and Huggies this Halloween season! Babies “R” Us is always making life easier for moms and they even are offering a Baby’s First Halloween in-store event! I love walking up and down the aisles of Babies”R” Us. They always have the newest and greatest baby products and always offer so many fun in store events that you miss out on when shopping strictly online. I’m so excited for this! The event will be held October 15th from 11am-12pm. You will get to meet other local moms and even make a keepsake to always remember their first Halloween! There will also be giveaways and raffle prizes! Who doesn’t love that?!
Lennon will be here a few days before Halloween and it makes me so excited! Of course in my mind, I was going to have some big elaborate costume, but my husband reeled in my crazy. So I settled for a cute and comfy Pumpkin costume for her. The best part? I made it!…and it was EASY! So I thought I would do a quick tutorial for all the other moms getting ready to gear up for their baby’s first Halloween!
I loaded up Noelle and we headed to our local Babies “R” Us to get our supplies. We also stocked up on Huggies Natural Wipes and some Huggies Little Snugglers. We are big fans of Huggies here and their Natural Wipes are great! Noelle has very sensitive skin and this is what we always had t to use, so I will stick to what we know for Lennon. Plus let face it….kids + candy = a MESS….so I love using wipes I can trust.
Black, Green, & Brown Felt
Using your fabric glue attach the pumpkin face pieces to your bodysuit.
*Insider Tip: Stick a piece of cardboard in between the layers of the bodysuit to prevent it from being glued together. Don’t ask me how I know this is possible.
While waiting for your bodysuit to dry you can get rolling on the little headband. I’m a girl mom but I tried to make this headband pretty gender friendly! I also cheated and used a brown elastic headband but you could easily measure and cut a piece of elastic to fit! I cut out two little leaves from green felt and attached them to the headband with fabric glue.
There you have it! A quick and easy pumpkin costume for your new baby! Thanks to Huggies & Babies “R” Us for helping with this great little project! I can’t wait for Lennon to get here and wear it! What are your favorite costumes for Baby’s First Halloween?
